Becoming a Compassionate Buddy is a challenging yet extremely gratifying role. As a Compassionate Buddy, you will play a crucial role in helping people struggling with loneliness feel valued, heard, seen, and understood. You will be providing emotional support, guidance, and companionship to individuals who are going through a tough time. By being a Compassionate Buddy, you will be making a positive impact in the lives of people who are struggling with loneliness and its consequential mental health issues.
Eligibility
- Master's degree in Psychology (Completed)
- Compassionate attitude towards helping people
- Flexibility and willingness to take on various responsibilities
- Strong commitment to the organization's mission
- Strong interest in teaching, counseling, and guidance
- Able to hold a non-judgmental attitude
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Commit to the role for the long term
Key Responsibilities
- Listening to people’s stories mindfully and non judgmentally
- Help users de-intensify overwhelming emotional experiences
- Fostering a compassionate environment
- Learn about the user’s wellbeing needs and curate an exclusive approach
- Learn & practice Mindful living and share the learnings with people
- Follow the technology driven intervention, prevention & assessment model
- Learn and teach techniques to help people meet their wellbeing goals
- Curate exclusive content and resources to meet specific wellbeing goals
- Identify the needs for professional therapies such as CBT, REBT, DBT, and more.
- Lead in-person retreats to one of our solace spaces.

Selection Process
Step 1: Read the job profile carefully and apply.
Step 2: If your application is found suitable, one of our recruiters will contact you.
Step 3: Join us for an online initial interaction.
Step 4: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an in-person discussion.
Step 5: Submit all your documents for us to review with 2 professional and personal references.
Step 6: Once onboard, you will undergo a 4-week paid training at one of our Solace Studios in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, or Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
Step 7: Upon completion of the training, you will undergo a final assessment and certification by our panel of psychologists. You will only be able to connect with our users once you successfully complete the certification.
Please be Mindful that
- You submit only one application for one role.
- You will be notified about the outcome of your application within 2-4 weeks after the interviews are concluded.
- Failure to attend a scheduled online or in-person interview without a valid reason will make you ineligible for future employment with Mindful Souls.
- If you are not shortlisted, you will not be eligible for another interview for a year. However, we offer internships for those interested in reapplying.
